What’s the difference between attraction oil and pheromone oil for men?

The label “attraction oil” gets used for two completely different things online, and the confusion is worth clearing up before we go further.

One kind is a candle-shop botanical blend with jasmine and rose and patchouli. That sort of thing is fine for ritual and mood, but it is not what I sell and not what this guide is about.

The other kind is a real pheromone oil. Same format, same carrier, except the active load is a set of human chemosignal molecules instead of plant extracts. When somebody on this site says attraction oil, I almost always mean that second version.

The two products share an oil base and do entirely different jobs. A men’s pheromone oil is built to signal at close range to the people around you. A botanical attraction oil is built to shift your own mood through scent. You can wear both, but most guys only need the pheromone version.

The Molecule Families a Real Men’s Oil Carries

Most pheromone products list a vague “proprietary blend” on the back, which tells you nothing. Three molecule families should be named outright on any brand’s product page. If a brand will not name them, walk away.

Androstenone is made from testosterone and signals dominance, presence, and sexual confidence. Too much of it reads as harsh, but the right amount reads as a man with frame. It is the steel beam of any male blend.

Androstenol, in both its alpha and beta forms, is the soft counterweight. It reads as warm, social, and easy. Without it, a heavy androstenone blend feels harsh rather than attractive. There is no A1 in any LAL blend, and that is a deliberate choice. Solo or heavy A1 tilts the read toward comfort, bonding, and calm rather than heat. Dry skin drinks the carrier in and burns through the dose faster, while oily skin holds it and can stretch one application to nine or ten hours. Heat cuts both ways: a warm room boosts diffusion early, then accelerates how fast the compounds break down.

Because the oil never fully flashes off, a touchup is small. If you started with five drops in the morning, one or two fresh drops in the evening is plenty. Buying a Pheromone Oil for Men

Four format-specific things separate a real bottle from a look-alike. The brand should name the actual molecules on the page, because a bottle that will not tell you what is inside is probably mostly carrier and marketing. The carrier itself should be a named one, either DPG and alcohol or a genuine botanical like jojoba, since cheap olive or mineral oil oxidizes fast on skin. The bottle should be glass, ideally amber or cobalt, because the actives degrade in plastic over time. And the brand should tell you a specific drop count, because a company that cannot dose its own product is guessing.

Cheap attraction oils on the big marketplaces are frequently carrier oil with essential oils added and no pheromone content whatsoever.
